Guterres says anxiety posed by nuclear weapons high

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has warned that threats posed by weapons of mass destruction seem to be gathering force. He told representatives from member states at a Security Council debate in New York that global anxieties about nuclear weapons are at the highest since the Cold War. He said countries like the US, Russia, Iran, and Syria need to increase mutual understanding and allow information sharing. Guterres also mentioned he was deeply concerned about the situation on the Korean Peninsula
