Head of the CEO Office of Kaspersky Lab, a Moscow-based multinational cybersecurity and anti-virus provider, commented on how global geopolitical tensions “backfire” on private companies, speaking from the World Economic Forum in Davos, on Tuesday.

The US banned the use of Kaspersky's software for US government agencies in September due to concerns about alleged Russian espionage.

“The pressure in the United States is enormous”, stated Anton Shingarev adding, “it is really disappointing, frustrating and surprising for me that the private company can be limited in its operations in the country with no reasons, with no facts, just by a decision of the US government."
