71 confirmed dead after Russian plane crashes near Moscow

A Russian plane carrying 71 people crashed shortly after takeoff from Domodedovo Airport in the outskirts of Moscow on Sunday, Russian media reported, adding that no survivors were found after the crash.

Sputnik cited the country’s Federal Air Transport Agency saying that the 65 passengers and six crew members onboard were confirmed dead.

The plane was flying to Orsk, a city in western Russia’s Ural Mountains, and disappeared from radar two minutes after departure.
