France: Five migrants shot in Calais brawl

At least five migrants were shot and more than twenty injured during a brawl in the northern French port of Calais on Thursday, according to local authorities.

Four people were critically injured in the brawl, which reportedly occurred between migrants of Eritrean and Afghan origin. According to authorities there were two fights, one of which started at a food delivery queue and reportedly lasted for nearly two hours.

Thursday's brawl was the worst violence in Calais since fighting on July 1, 2017 left 16 people injured.
