Mexico: 7.2 magnitude earthquake strikes Mexico City

An 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck Mexico City on Friday. The earthquake struck central and southern Mexico with the epicentre based in the state of Oaxaca near the Pacific coast at a depth of 24.6 kilometers (15.3 miles).

Footage shows people flooded into the streets out of fear in the Condesa neighbourhood, which was one of the most heavily damaged in the last earthquake on September 19th, 2017. During that last earthquake several buildings collapses and 370 people were killed.

No tsunami warning has been announced, nor have there yet been reports of any deaths.
