Russia: 71 feared dead after plane crashes following Moscow take-off

A Russian airliner carrying 71 people crashed near the village of Stepanovskoye in Moscow Region on Sunday, reportedly leaving no survivors.

Footage shows debris on the ground following the incident, with no official cause having been cited for the crash.

An emergency services source told TASS news agency that there was "no chance" anyone surviving the Saratov Airlines An-148 regional jet crash.

The plane was flying to the city of Orsk when it vanished from radar screens shortly after it took off from Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport, before reportedly crashing some 80 kilometres (50 miles) south-east of the capital.
