The Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) released footage of the ongoing rescue operation in Stepanovskoye on Sunday, after an An-148 airliner crashed near the village in Moscow Region earlier in the day.

All 71 people aboard, including three foreign nationals and six members of staff, were reportedly killed.

EMERCOM's fire and rescue divisions, ambulance brigades and other emergency services were immediately dispatched to the crash site.

More than 150 people and 20 pieces of equipment were deployed in the operation.

The plane was flying to the city of Orsk when it vanished from radar screens shortly after it took off from Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport, before reportedly crashing some 80 kilometres (50 miles) south-east of the capital.
