Kazakhstan: Hundreds evacuated as rain causes Uba River to overflow

Hundreds of people were evacuated from the village of Shemonaikha in eastern Kazakhstan as heavy rain and meltwater caused the River Uba to burst its banks, as shown in drone footage shot on Tuesday.

Dozens of houses have been damaged in the worst floods for 30 years. A state of emergency has been declared in the area.
