Peru: Fireworks set off as students clash with police in Lima

Police fired tear gas at student protesters in the Peruvian capital of Lima on Thursday during a protest against labour reforms for the young people.

Police used the tear gas to disperse the students while the students set of fireworks in response.

The proposed labour bill ‘12154' has been dubbed the ‘Youth Slave Law’ by its critics as it puts forward mandatory unpaid internships for students.
