Russia: 'They didn’t listen to us, so listen to us now' - Putin on latest weapons

Commenting on the unveiling of Russia's latest missile and weapons systems, Russian President Vladimir Putin said: "they didn’t listen to us, so listen to us now.”

He outlined a series of recent missile and ground tests, which he said "allow us to proceed with the creation of a fundamentally new type of weapon - a strategic complex of nuclear weapons with a missile equipped with a nuclear warhead." A video and set of graphics was then shown to the audience to showcase the new system.

"Due to its unlimited range it can maneuver for an unlimited amount of time. As you understand, nobody in the world has anything similar. Some day they might have it, but by that time our guys will invent something else," Putin said.

Over 1,000 people attended Putin's 14th state-of-the-nation address in the Manege Exhibition Center, including members of both houses of the Russian Parliament, members of the government, as well as other officials and prominent figures.
