State of Palestine: PM Hamdallah's convoy hit by explosion in Gaza

An explosion struck a convoy carrying the Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah during his visit to Gaza on Tuesday.

Reports state that Hamdallah was not hurt in the incident.

The explosion occurred shortly after the PM's 20-vehicle envoy entered Gaza through the Erez Crossing with Israel.

Witnesses say at least four vehicles were damaged, while reports indicate up to seven people were injured by the blast.

Blood could seen on a car door.

No group or individual claimed of responsibility in the immediate aftermath, but the Palestinian National Authority blamed Hamas for the assassination attempt.
