Syria: First unarmed militants escorted from E. Ghouta towards Idlib

Thirteen unarmed opposition fighters left the de-escalation zone of East Ghouta in Syria on Friday, using the humanitarian corridor in the Mukhayyam al-Wafideen settlement. They will now be transported to Idlib.

SOT, Yuri Evtushenko, Head of Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in the Syrian Arab Republic (Russian): "The exit was carried out under the guarantee of the –°entre for Reconciliation of the warring parties. The first batch of militants left the humanitarian corridor in the vicinity of the Mukhayyam al-Wafideen settlement without weapons, and in the future will be moved to the territory beyond Syria's control. Further work on the withdrawal of militants from the eastern Ghouta will be continued."
